NOTICE: The 2010 election season saw a lot of voter mobilization activity from partisan groups. Most Get Out the Vote campaigns are great and perfectly legal, but we urge voters to be wary of unsolicited mailers or robocalls from groups with clear political agendas, or from websites that ask for sensitive personal information without explaining who they are or what they will do with that information.
Additionally, several groups have recently used Long Distance Voter's name and materials improperly, in such a way that it looked as though it we were affiliated with them. Our Partners Page lists groups we proudly work with; if a group is not on this list, they are not affiliated with us.
If you receive an unsolicited absentee voting application or similar form in the mail, make sure that 1) your local election official's address is correct, and 2) you always use a secure envelope to return the form.
We've posted a list of things to look out for in unsolicited mailers and an open letter to the RNC regarding these matters.
