Useful Voter Information
The National Voter Registration Form
Every state except New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Wyoming accepts the National Voter Registration Form. You can use our Voter Registration Widget to fill the form out. The entire process takes less than three minutes.
Military and Overseas Voters
U.S. citizens who are active members of the Uniformed Services the Merchant Marine, their family members, and U.S. citizens residing outside the United States can register to vote and/or request an absentee using the Federal Post Card Application. Mail your completed application directly to your local election official. Please go to the Overseas Vote Foundation for help preparing and mailing this form.
Offsite Recommendation: The Overseas Vote Foundation is the most informative resource we know of for overseas voters. They'll help you prepare your form and mail it to the correct official, and they'll keep you abreast of all relevant deadlines and laws.

NEVADA
- Nevada's voter registration form is not available online. You can use our Voter Registration Widget to register to vote.
Each Nevada county has it's own absentee ballot application. Most are not available online. Contact your County Clerk to request an absentee ballot application. The following counties have made their applications available online:

NEW HAMPSHIRE
- You can only register by mail in New Hampshire if you are unable to register in person because of physical disability, religious beliefs, military service, or because of temporary absence. You can use New Hampshire's absentee voter registration application to request a mail-in voter registration form. You can also call your town/city clerk and ask them to send a mail-in-voter registration form.

- The New Mexico Voter Registration Form is not available online. You can use our Voter Registration Widget to register to vote.

NORTH CAROLINA
- North Carolina voter registration form
- There is no official absentee ballot application. You can send a handwritten request to your County Board of Elections. Your request must include your name, your home address, your mailing address, your date of birth and your signature.

NORTH DAKOTA
North Dakota does not have voter registration!
North Dakota has FOUR different absentee ballot applications:
- The North Dakota general absentee voter application (for established residents)
- The North Dakota new resident absentee voter application (for residents who've lived in North Dakota for at least 10 days, but under 30 days)
- The overseas children absentee voter application (for 18 year olds who have never lived in the United States, but whose parents are North Dakota Residents)
- The overseas resident absentee voter application (for uniformed service members of North Dakota residents living outside the United States)

TENNESSEE
- Tennesee voter registration form
- There is no official absentee ballot application. We've created one you can use: Tennessee Absentee Ballot Application. You can also mail or a fax a written request to your County Election Commission. Your request should include your name, your address, your social security number, your home address, your mailing address, the election you wish to participate in, your reason for voting absentee, and your signature.
